Paul Williams

Paul Williams has extensive experience as a meteorologist, having worked in various roles across different companies. Paul started their career as a weekend meteorologist at KSDK - 5 On Your Side in 1993 and later became the chief meteorologist at FOX61/CW20. From 1996 to 1998, they also served as the chief meteorologist at La Puertoricanisima radio station. Paul then worked as a chief meteorologist for WJMI-FM WKXI-FM WOAD-AM from 2000 to 2013, where they were responsible for radio weather reports. Paul also worked as a morning meteorologist at WLBT from 1999 to 2013. In 2014, Paul joined AccuWeather as a senior meteorologist, providing weather reports for various networks. Paul worked there until 2019 when they became the chief meteorologist at WRDE NBC Coast TV and Noticias Telemundo Communications, where they supervised meteorologists and provided daily weather reports for social media and weather apps. In 2022, Paul joined WRDE-FM Coast Radio as the chief meteorologist. Overall, Paul has had a successful career in the field of meteorology, gaining experience in television, radio, and online platforms.

Paul Williams attended Jackson State University from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mass Communications. Paul then returned to Jackson State University from 1991 to 1993 to pursue another Bachelor's of Science degree, this time in Meteorology / Physics. Paul also participated in additional certifications throughout their career. In December 1992, they became a Full Member of the American Meteorological Society, and in August 1993, they obtained the American Meteorological Society Television Seal of Approval Seal (#753). In March 1990, Paul became a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. Later on, in January 2020, they achieved Full Membership with the NATIONAL WEATHER ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION. Paul'smost recent certification is the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) #913, which they obtained from the American Meteorological Society in May 2022. Paul also engaged in studies related to Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology through the American Meteorological Society.
