Jonathan Miller

Health + Wellbeing Lead at Wrexham County Borough Council

Jonathan Miller has a diverse work experience in the health and wellbeing sector. Jonathan started their career in 2001 as a Lifestyle Consultant at Spirit Health Club. In 2003, they worked as a Community Health Worker at Caia Park Partnership Ltd. Subsequently, Jonathan joined Wrexham County Borough Council, where they held various roles including Healthy Schools Officer, Healthy Schools Coordinator, and Health and Wellbeing Manager from 2003 to 2016. During their time at the Council, they were responsible for managing and implementing health improvement services and budgets, as well as coordinating with internal and external bodies. In 2011, they became a Trustee at Wrexham AFC Community Trust, supporting the Foundation Manager in implementing the strategic plan and leading the Trustee for Safeguarding. Jonathan also served as a Safeguarding Advisor at Wrexham AFC from 2004 to 2022.

Jonathan Miller attended Ysgol Bryn Offa from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained 10 GCSE's. Jonathan then studied at Yale College from 1996 to 1998, focusing on 3 A Levels in Psychology, Physical Education, and Human Biology. From 1998 to 2001, Jonathan attended The Manchester Metropolitan University, earning a Bsc (Hons) in Sport, Exercise, and Coaching Science. Lastly, in 2016 to 2017, Jonathan completed an Executive Leadership Programme at Sport Wales/First Ascent.
