Gregory Carter has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Gregory started their career at Ben E. Keith Foods as a Territory Sales Manager, where they focused on acquiring new accounts and growing existing business. In 2001, they joined Herman Miller and held multiple sales-focused roles, including Business Development Manager, Territory Manager, eBusiness Process Specialist, and eBusiness Integrator. In these roles, they built trust with clients and connected their business drivers to the value proposition. From 2010 to 2013, Gregory served as a Global Account Manager at Herman Miller, where they identified and acquired new business by developing a large account selling strategy. Gregory then became the National Sales Director of the Ergonomics Portfolio, where they directed a team and implemented a business plan that grew revenue and market share. From 2015 to 2018, they were the Area Vice President of Sales at Herman Miller, leading a team of regional directors and implementing sales strategies across different segments. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Managing Director of WRG - Certified Herman Miller Dealer, responsible for pioneering an expansion location and driving growth and community impact.

Gregory Carter holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business, Management and Marketing, which they obtained from the Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business between 2010 and 2012. Gregory also completed a Global Strategy Certification program at Southern Methodist University from 2014 to 2015, where they specialized in multi-national competition and emerging markets. Prior to these achievements, Carter attended Texas State University from 1987 to 1991 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Their major was Anthropology, with a minor in International Studies.
