Dr. Ruchika Singh

Dr. Ruchika Singh is the Executive Program Director for Food, Land and Water at WRI India, a position held since July 2023, with extensive experience in sustainable landscapes and restoration. Previously, Dr. Singh served as Director, Interim Director, and Associate Director at World Resources Institute India, leading initiatives on food systems, landscape restoration, and agricultural sustainability. Dr. Singh has a strong research background, including roles as an Independent Research Consultant for the World Bank Group and as an Associate Researcher at Bonn University's Center for Development Research. Educational qualifications include a PhD from The University of Bonn, a Master's in Political Science from University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Master's in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam. The focus has been on the intersection of environment, governance, and community livelihoods throughout Dr. Singh's career.
