Vivek Venkataramani

Vivek Venkataramani is an experienced professional in climate resilience and adaptation finance. Currently serving as Associate Director at WRI India since February 2021, Vivek focuses on developing climate-smart villages, climate-proofing district development, and creating resource mobilization strategies for climate action plans. Previous roles include advising on climate finance at LEAD at Krea University and consulting on climate public expenditure reviews for Iora Ecological Solutions. Experience with The World Bank involved enhancing adaptation actions in South Asia, while work at the International Institute for Environment and Development contributed to frameworks for the National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change. A solid academic background is supported by a Master's degree in Economics from the Madras School of Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Loyola College.
