Deanna Allbrittin

Deanna Allbrittin is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in broadcast news, currently serving as an Anchor and Development and Engagement Manager at ABC 8NEWS WRIC - Nexstar Media Group since May 2021. In this role, Deanna initiated a position aimed at enhancing professional development among reporters and improving onboarding processes. Previously, Deanna anchored weekday evening newscasts, fostering a collaborative atmosphere and enhancing show urgency. Earlier experience includes reporting and fill-in anchoring at WFTV and WXIN TV, where Deanna covered significant beats and developed source relationships. Deanna also held anchor and reporting roles at 14 WFIE and leadership positions in Indiana University's student television. Deanna's foundational experience includes internships at CBS News and WXIN TV, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington.
