Alexis Smitowski

Alexis Smitowski is a skilled healthcare professional with extensive experience in therapeutic recreation and orthotic fitting. Currently serving as a Certified Fitter of Orthotics at Wright & Filippis since July 2019, Alexis specializes in fitting and training patients on the use of orthotic devices. Concurrently, Alexis has worked as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at Beaumont Health since October 2017, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with complex medical conditions. Prior roles include providing therapeutic recreation services at Special Tree Rehabilitation System and various positions at Ferndale Schools, YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit, and multiple internships during education at Central Michigan University, culminating in a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy.
