WH is a member-owned non-profit electric utility that provides electric power to Wright County and the western part of Hennepin County. The cooperative has been a corporate citizen in this area since 1937 and currently serves more than 50,000 electric accounts. The utility started its security division in 1989 that provides local home security solutions as well as monitors alarm systems for more than 50,000 customers in 32 states and three Canadian provinces.

The Engineering and IT team at Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the electric power system through advanced technical solutions. The IT Business Analyst optimizes business processes, the Electric Apparatus Technician maintains and repairs electrical equipment, the Director Of Engineering oversees engineering projects and strategic planning, the Field Engineer handles on-site technical evaluations and system implementations, and the IT Systems Engineer manages the cooperative's IT infrastructure to support both electric utility operations and home security services.
