Brittany D. has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Brittany began their career as an Algebra I Teacher in Marlboro County School District in 2014, where they developed innovative lesson plans and co-supervised tutoring programs. Brittany then joined Teach For America as a Teacher from 2014 to 2016.

In 2015, they worked as a History Teacher at Lake Marion High School until June 2016. Brittany also served as a Substitute Teacher at Waukee Community School District from August to December 2016.

In 2016, Brittany worked as a Data Entry Specialist at Cetera Financial Group from December 2016 until August 2017. Brittany then joined Iowa State University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from August 2017 to May 2019.

Building upon their undergraduate studies, Brittany pursued further education at Iowa State University from 2017 to 2019. During this period, they completed a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in Instructional Design.
