Marcel de Rycker

Marcel DE RYCKER has a diverse and extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Marcel is currently serving as the Head of European Business Development at Wrightbus, where they are focused on building sustainable and zero-emission transport solutions. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of European Sales at Tevva Hydrogen Electric Trucks, where they contributed to the development and manufacturing of zero-emission medium-duty trucks. Marcel also worked at ProovStation as the Chief Commercial Officer, leading the company in revolutionizing car inspections through artificial intelligence and blockchain technology. Before that, they were the Managing Director at International Warranty Solutions, overseeing global operations related to vehicle warranty programs. Marcel has also held various leadership roles at M2R Consulting, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Daimler, General Motors, Volkswagen, and BMW, gaining extensive experience in strategy, sales, marketing, and business development.

Marcel De Rycker completed an MBA degree in Finance and Industrial Marketing from the University of Hartford in Hartford, CT, USA, from 1987 to 1989. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1985, they attended ESDE in Paris, France, where they earned a degree from a French Business School with a focus on Management and Finance. Marcel also obtained a BTS - Brevet de Technicien Supérieur, majoring in Industrial Sales and Marketing, from LTE Massy Vilgénis in Massy, France, from 1980 to 1982. Their earlier education includes a Baccalauréat de Technicien F1, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, also from LTE Massy Vilgénis, from 1977 to 1980. In terms of additional certifications, Marcel obtained a variety of certifications related to Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Electric Vehicles from various institutions such as IBM Innovation Centre for Education, École des Ponts ParisTech, and The Johns Hopkins University.
