David Leon

David Leon currently serves as the Director of Workforce Programs at the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) since February 2011, leading the business services unit and various employment programs, including the SSA "Ticket to Work" initiative. David has been involved in the development of partnerships for employment services and manages grants aimed at financial empowerment. Additionally, David has volunteered at WRIR 97.3 since 2008, contributing to the award-winning radio program Voices of Recovery, which focuses on mental health awareness. With extensive experience in community support and rehabilitation, David held roles at Henrico Area Mental Health Services and ServiceSource, developing skills and resources for individuals with disabilities. David holds a Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from VCU.
