Vlad Mykol

Vlad Mykol has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Vlad began their career as a Junior Delphi Developer at EKSOR in September 2011 and worked there until October 2013. Vlad then joined Deutsche Bank as a Database (Oracle) Developer at Luxoft from September 2013 to September 2017. During their time there, they also took on the role of Senior Java/Oracle Developer and Team Lead at Luxoft DB ODC, where they led an international team and initiated the migration of a monolithic application to a Microservices-based architecture.

In 2020, Vlad started their own venture, ChargeBro.com, as a Full Stack Engineer. Vlad built the project from scratch, creating an N-tier application, developing hardware controllers, designing iOS and Android apps, creating a website, and even implementing a customer support chatbot. Although the startup was not successful in Ukraine, Vlad successfully released a fully functioning product with three working charging stations in Kyiv.

Currently, Vlad works at Grid Dynamics as a Senior Software Engineer. Vlad is responsible for developing and improving decentralised and highly available platform components in a tech-first insurance company. Vlad'sachievements include optimizing AWS infrastructure to improve API response time, enhancing CI/CD processes to shorten build time, and preventing major production bugs through the introduction of automated E2E tests using Cypress.

Vlad Mykol completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from The Kiev State University of Infrastructure and Technology. Vlad attended the university from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their degree, Vlad has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Vlad became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate in February 2022 through Amazon Web Services. In August 2019, they achieved the Spring Professional certification from Pivotal Software, Inc. Furthermore, Vlad obtained the Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional certification from Oracle in December 2016, and the Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert certification in June 2015.
