John Stokes

John Stokes is a seasoned professional in the venture capital and board governance sectors, currently serving as Managing Partner at Real Ventures since August 2010. Stokes holds prominent board positions at multiple companies, including OSMO, dcbel, Wrk, Transit, MindBridge, and previously at Breather, where involvement lasted until September 2023. Stokes also contributed to the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal and the CVCA - Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association from 2019 to 2022. Stokes began academic pursuits at The Manchester Metropolitan University, earning a BSc. (Hons) in Sports Science, followed by studies at McGill University in 2006.
