Gary Hentschel has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Gary has held executive positions in various companies, demonstrating strong leadership and business acumen.
Starting in 1980, Hentschel worked at Indiana National Bank, where they held various positions. In 1986, they joined KeyBank (formerly known as Ameritrust) and played a pivotal role in establishing an Asset Based Commercial Loan Production Office in Indianapolis. Gary eventually became the Executive Vice President in Charge of Corporate Banking for central and southern Indiana, overseeing various functions such as Middle Market, Small Business, Asset Based Lending, and more.
In 1996, Hentschel became the President and Chief Operating Officer of Personnel Management, Inc. (PMI), a light industrial staffing company. Gary was responsible for its sales, operations, and administrative functions. During their tenure, both sales and profitability more than doubled through organic growth and acquisitions. PMI was a public company from 1996 to 1998, after which it was privately owned until its sale in 2008.
Moving on, Hentschel joined KeyBank again in 2007, this time as the President of the Indiana District. Gary managed significant amounts of deposits and loans while overseeing the growth and success of the district.
In 2015, Hentschel became the Chief Executive Officer and equity partner of ULG Companies, a multi-service staffing provider serving skilled trades, marine/maritime, and light industrial markets. Gary led ULG's national expansion with 14 offices nationwide, focusing on providing exceptional service to both clients and employees.
Continuing their career as a CEO, Hentschel joined The September Group, LLC in 2019. Gary sought to invest in or acquire Midwest-based middle market companies in commercial and industrial markets, leveraging their expertise in sales, marketing, financial management, and operations.
Lastly, in 2020, Hentschel became the Chief Executive Officer and equity partner of WSI Technologies, an Indianapolis-based technology company specializing in designing and building audio and video data capture systems for law enforcement, public safety, and courtroom environments.
Throughout their career, Hentschel has consistently demonstrated their ability to lead and drive growth in various industries.
Gary Hentschel attended Miami University from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics and Marketing. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued higher education at Butler University from 1981 to 1988. During this time, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Economics.
