Chris Michaels serves as the weekday morning and noon meteorologist at WSLS-TV in Roanoke, VA, a position held since April 2018. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a weekend evening meteorologist for WCYB/WEMT/CW4 from May 2014 to April 2018. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from North Carolina State University, earned between 2010 and 2014, and is currently pursuing the Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM) seal with the American Meteorological Society.

WSLS 10

WSLS was the first television station to serve central and Southwest Virginia, officially signing on the air December 11, 1952. WSLS 10 was licensed by Shenandoah Life Insurance Company as one of Southwest Virginia’s pioneer stations.WSLS 10’s studios were built in the early 1950s.
