Andrew Schatz

Andrew Schatz is a Broadcast Technology Engineer at WSOC-TV Eyewitness News since January 2020, with a prior extensive career at Cox Enterprises as a Master Control Operator/Ingest Operator from 2001 to January 2020. As a Certified Television Operator, Andrew collaborates with the engineering team to maintain equipment and software while addressing technical issues. Andrew's diverse experience includes roles as an Audio Engineer, Studio Operator/Technician, and co-owner of The Audio Knights Theatre, where responsibilities encompassed audio engineering, project coordination, and sound design. Andrew holds a BA in Mass Communication from North Carolina State University (1997-2001).
