Jasdeep Saini

Jasdeep Saini has a diverse work experience in the field of research, technology, and food safety. Jasdeep's most recent position was as the Vice President of Research and Technology at WTI Inc., starting in April 2019. Prior to this, Jasdeep worked at Chipotle Mexican Grill as the Director of Food Safety and R&D, starting in July 2018 and continuing until April 2019. Before that, Jasdeep held various roles at WTI Inc., including Director of R&D and Food Safety Laboratory, Laboratory Director, and New Product Development Manager, from June 2017 to September 2017, January 2014 to May 2017, and January 2013 to December 2013, respectively. Jasdeep's earlier work experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at Kansas State University from January 2012 to January 2013 and as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2006 to December 2011. Throughout these roles, Jasdeep conducted research on food safety, including control of Listeria monocytogenes in food processing environments and the use of ozone for decontaminating food contact surfaces. Jasdeep also worked as an Instructor for Food Microbiology and Food Fermentation courses.

Jasdeep Saini holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Food Science from Kansas State University, which was earned between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, Jasdeep completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Food Science at the same university from 2006 to 2008. Their undergraduate education took place at Punjab Agricultural University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Foods and Nutrition from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Jasdeep Saini has also acquired several certifications. They have completed the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food certification from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) in September 2020. The certification in Biosafety and Biocontainment (BSL-3) training from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management certification from the University of Virginia are mentioned, but no specific dates are provided for their completion.
