Ava Martin

Ava Martin is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in production management, creating television documentaries, and coordinating projects. Currently serving as Assignment Manager at WTTW/Chicago PBS since February 2016, Ava oversees crews, manages edit sessions, and collaborates with producers and reporters. As Principal/Senior Producer/Project Manager at Colorbars, a full-service media production company since October 2009, Ava directs and produces programs for network and cable distribution. Prior roles include Associate Producer for a Chicago South Side documentary at WTTW/Chicago PBS, Temp-Associate Producer at WYCC PBS Chicago, and Director for Public Media at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Ava's career began as a Producer/Director with Johnson Publishing Company and KSTS-TV48, demonstrating a consistent trajectory of growth and expertise across various media landscapes. Ava holds a Bachelor of Science in Radio and Television from Southern Illinois University and a high school diploma from Kenwood Academy.
