Rachel Wombles has a diverse work experience. From 2005 to 2010, they were a Restaurant Manager at TGI Fridays, where they were responsible for scheduling, ensuring standards, interviewing, hiring staff, training staff, conducting meetings, contributing and adhering to financial budgets, and performing necessary duties for daily operations. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Fine Dining Server at Jackmont Hospitality, Inc, a parent company of One Flew South. During this time, they also worked as a Research Assistant at GSU Laboratory of Charlie Garnett Benson, Ph.D. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Medical Technologist and Specimen Management Associate at Quintiles, where they performed a wide variety of routine and esoteric clinical testing procedures in both the Flow Cytometry and Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cell (PBMC) laboratories. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II at Northside Hospital, where they processed samples and acquired cell surface and cytoplasmic antigens by flow cytometry for diagnostic testing primarily to the blood, bone marrow, and tissue of leukemia, lymphoma, transplant, and immunotherapy patients. Finally, they are currently a Senior Associate Scientist at Wugen.
Rachel Wombles attended Georgia State University from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology with a Chemistry Minor. Rachel also has a certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as a Technologist in Molecular Biology.
