Brianna Atkinson

Brianna Atkinson is a Higher Education Reporter at North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC, serving as a Fletcher Fellow since August 2023. Previously, Brianna held roles as a News Intern at The News & Observer Publishing Company, a Reporter for 97.9 The Hill WCHL and Chapelboro.com, and a Senior Writer and Reporter for The Daily Tar Heel. Brianna has also contributed as an Assistant University Desk Editor and reported for Carolina Connection, a student-run newscast. Additional experience includes an internship at Greensboro News & Record and a communications/operations internship at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media. Brianna holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
