Quintin Smits

Quintin Smits has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and development. Quintin is currently the Head of Engineering at Wundermart since March 2020. In addition, they are also the Co-Founder of Smitty.ai starting from April 2023.

Prior to these roles, Quintin worked at Reshift Digital B.V. for almost six years starting from April 2014. During their time there, they held the position of Head of Development, where they led a team of software developers, managed the development team, and was responsible for development and hosting. Quintin'stech stack included Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Ubuntu, Redis, and ElasticSearch.

Quintin also undertook a side project at BSB Volmachten from December 2018 to November 2019. Quintin worked on building a backend system to store insurance policies in a blockchain data structure using Python and Django.

Quintin'searliest work experience was at Stormbits, where they started as an intern in February 2002. Quintin worked part-time for five years and then transitioned to full-time for seven years. During their time at Stormbits, Quintin was eventually recognized as the CTO.

Quintin Smits obtained a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, which they attended from 2003 to 2008. Quintin then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Bioinformatics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2008 to 2012, but did not finish the degree. In September 2015, they obtained the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance.
