Max Schulze-Steinen is a researcher at Wuppertal Institut für Klima, Umwelt, Energie gGmbH since June 2021, focusing on global climate governance. Prior experience includes a position as a scientific assistant at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, where participation was in the global program addressing human mobility related to climate change. Max also worked as a school coach at CARE and as a deputy project manager at Stiftung Creative Kirche, overseeing the project "Gospel für eine Gerechtere Welt." Earlier, an internship at Klima-Kollekte gGmbH involved contributions to a carbon-offsetting fund. Max holds an M.A. in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Universität Witten/Herdecke and a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Ruhr University Bochum, with additional studies at Háskólinn á Akureyri.
