Elmar Thyen

Elmar Thyen has extensive experience in corporate communications and journalism, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Development and Group Communications at WSW Wuppertaler Stadtwerke GmbH since July 2017. From 2011, Elmar Thyen has also held the position of Chair of the Energy Task Force at SGI Europe. Prior roles include Head of Corporate Communications and Energy Policy at Trianel GmbH from April 2009 to December 2017, and Editor-in-Chief at Antenne Unna from October 1991 to March 2009. Earlier in the career, Elmar Thyen worked as a reporter for WDR and gained early experience as a volunteer at Ruhr-Nachrichten Verlag and as a student assistant at Technische Universität Dortmund. Elmar Thyen co-authored a study on the Chernobyl disaster's media coverage in 1987 and has been pursuing education at RWTH Aachen University and TU Dortmund University since October 1984.
