Ramarao Babbellapati has extensive work experience in the engineering and technology industry. Ramarao most recently worked as the Director of Engineering at Wurl starting in November 2018. Prior to that, they served as an Engineering Leader at Kollective Technology from November 2015 to November 2018, where they were responsible for managing a distributed P2P enterprise content delivery network.

In 2011, Ramarao held multiple roles. Firstly, at Big Fish, they led and directed the engineering team for the cloud gaming group, overseeing the development of a cloud-based game streaming platform. Ramarao was responsible for managing a cloud service that hosted millions of gaming sessions. Additionally, they worked as an Architect at Agawi, where they managed an AWS-based cloud service that delivered video and audio streaming sessions in various locations. Ramarao contributed significantly to the development of low-latency cloud-based game and flash streaming technologies.

In previous positions, Ramarao worked as a Consultant at Netpulse/Harmonic from March 2009 to December 2010, where they developed kiosk-style embedded entertainment systems for fitness platforms. Ramarao also worked as a Manager of Software Development at Digital Fountain in 2008, and as an Engineering Manager at Harmonic Inc. from 2001 to 2008.

Ramarao began their career in the technology industry as a Senior Software Engineer at SunUp Digital Systems, which was later acquired by Motorola Mobility. Ramarao also worked as a Software Engineer at CMC Limited from 1993 to 1995.

Throughout their career, Ramarao has demonstrated expertise in software development, engineering management, architecture design, and cloud-based technologies.

Ramarao Babbellapati holds an M Tech degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Warangal. Prior to that, they attended the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, where they pursued a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Ramarao obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates in December 2015.
