Michael Thomas

Michael Thomas has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role at WuXi Advanced Therapies as a Scientist. In this role, they focused on process development for Lentiviral and AAV Vector Suspension Platform for gene-mediated cell therapies. Michael also transferred these processes into 50L and 200L single-use bioreactors for GMP Production. Their experience includes small-scale screening and optimization, 2L bioreactor optimization, and 50L single-use bioreactor verification. Michael designed custom single-use assemblies to streamline the manufacturing process. Before their current role, they worked as an Associate Scientist and a Process Development Associate at WuXi Advanced Therapies. Prior to that, they were a Manufacturing Associate at GlaxoSmithKline and a Corporate Engineering Services Intern at FMC Corporation.

Michael Thomas attended the University of Delaware from 2011 to 2015. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering.
