Steve Smith

Steve Smith is an accomplished professional in the field of pharmacology and biological research, currently serving as the SME, Technical Director for in vivo Pharmacology at WuXi AppTec since August 2022. Previous experience includes leading business development efforts at GemPharmatech and contributing to drug discovery initiatives at Glialogix and Zogenix. Smith has a strong background in grant writing and securing funding for preclinical research, as demonstrated during tenure at Alquest Therapeutics. Additionally, Smith has held various roles at Five Prime Therapeutics, Caliper Life Sciences, Bayer, and Parke-Davis, with expertise in protein therapy, disease modeling, and therapeutic targeting, supported by a Ph.D. in Microbiology from North Carolina State University.
