Jorge R. Villaverde

Jorge R. Villaverde is an accomplished professional in the biopharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in process engineering and downstream manufacturing. Currently serving as Associate Director of U.S. Process Engineering at WuXi Biologics since August 2020, Jorge previously held various roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, including Process Engineering Manager and Field Application Scientist, where responsibilities included supporting customer technical requirements and leading process development initiatives. Jorge's earlier roles at Patheon and Lonza involved overseeing commercial and clinical downstream manufacturing, managing teams, and contributing to operational excellence projects. Jorge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences Biology from Quinnipiac University.
