Dawn Slekis

Dawn Slekis is currently working as a Compliance Specialist at the WV Department of Health and Human Resources in the Office of Environmental Health Services, focusing on compliance and enforcement in public drinking water. Prior to this role, Dawn worked as an Environmental Scientist at Ryan Environmental, where Dawn performed various environmental site inspections and assessments, managed permits, and conducted asbestos inspections. Dawn also has experience in customer service as a Head Cashier at Lowe's Home Improvement and as a Hostess Server at Jolly Roger Restaurant. Dawn has volunteered at the Roanoke Island Aquarium and Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve, and has a strong educational background in environmental toxicology, biology, chemistry, and mathematics.
