WVTM 13, the Tuscaloosa-Birmingham-Anniston NBC and MeTV affiliate station, has been serving Central Alabama for nearly 75 years, proudly engineering many broadcast television firsts in the state: from presenting the first program in color to transmitting the first HD images to the use of full automation technology. WVTM 13 is the only station in Central Alabama with its own Live Doppler Radar on air, providing a Three Minute Advantage that gives viewers time to plan and prepare to protect their families from dangerous severe weather conditions. You can watch us on TV, connect with us on WVTM13.com and the WVTM13 app, or stream our content on the Very Local platform.

WVTM 13 is Live. Local. Late Breaking. A station striving to not only report on but also positively impact the place we call home, actively engaging with the communities we aim to reflect while prudently offering solutions to local businesses that augment growth. Honored to have been named as an Alabama Broadcaster Association Station of the Year twice with a team of Emmy and Edward R. Murrow winning journalists. WVTM 13 is privately owned by Heart Television. Hearst TV owns and operates 33 TV stations and two radio stations, reaching over 21 million U.S. television households across 39 states. Hearst TV stations’ web and mobile platforms reach over 25 million unique visitors every month.

Guided by engaged professionals adhering to the highest professional standards in pursuit of excellence, WVTM 13 fosters a working environment of diversity and inclusion, stability, and support. Providing job opportunities in news and sport journalism, production, meteorology, broadcast and digital sales, marketing, creative services, IT, and broadcast engineering.
