Peggy Brassie has extensive experience in education and caregiving, currently serving as a caregiver at Westminster Village West Lafayette Incorporated since October 2015 and as a Title One Interventionist with Lafayette School Corporation since October 2011. With 26 years in classroom roles, Peggy has held positions such as classroom teacher, Title One reading aide, and substitute teacher within the Lafayette and Tippecanoe School Corporations from 2000 to 2008. Peggy is also a certified tutor in English as a second language, furthering this expertise through ongoing education at Wheaton College. Additional work experience includes various retail customer service roles and detailed-oriented positions such as scorer and proofreader for scholastic evaluations. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University Kokomo and a Bachelor’s degree from Manchester University, complemented by a certificate in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language.
