Michael Defreese

Michael DeFreese, P.E. is a seasoned professional in the engineering and construction industry with extensive experience in sales, product management, and design development. Currently serving as the Commercial Sales Manager and involved in Commercial Development at W&W|AFCO Steel since December 2017, Michael previously held key roles at Canam, where responsibilities included Product Manager and Business Development Manager, focusing on multi-story residential, commercial, and industrial building development. Earlier experience includes serving as Design Development Manager and Director of Engineering at Consolidated Systems, Inc., where Michael oversaw design engineering efforts and managed a detailing network across multiple countries. Michael's career also includes project management experience at Moffatt & Nichol, ensuring successful completion of engineering and construction projects. Michael holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
