Ananta Bhandari, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years in the field of conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. Ananta started their career as a Buffer Zone Officer at PCP-Participatory Conservation Program in 2003 and served in this role until 2005. In 2009, they joined CSUWN- Conservation & Sustainable Use of Wetlands in Nepal as a Field Manager. Ananta worked in this position until 2011 when they moved to WWF Nepal. At WWF Nepal, Ananta held various roles, including Program Officer from 2011-2012, Senior Program Officer from 2012-2014, Program Manager from 2014-2018, and currently, they serve as the Head of the Forest & Landscape Program. Ananta Bhandari's expertise lies in natural resource management, conservation, and sustainable use of forest and wetland ecosystems.

Ananta Bhandari, PhD, obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Forestry from Dresden University of Technology in Germany. Afterwards, they pursued a doctoral degree in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University. Additional details regarding specific start and end dates are not provided.
