Wendy Engel, a seasoned professional in sustainable finance, currently serves as the Senior Manager of Sustainable Finance at WWF South Africa, where responsibilities include steering financial flows towards sustainable investments and fostering capacity in young finance professionals. With extensive experience in various roles, including Finance Sector Specialist and Project Coordinator for the Nedbank Partnership, Wendy has demonstrated expertise in developing green finance solutions and enhancing ESG adoption across multiple environmental programs. Wendy's background includes positions as Senior Researcher at the University of Cape Town, Agriculture Economist at Absa Group, and Economist roles at CapeNature and Sustainable Energy Africa.
