Lauren Abbate

Lauren Abbate is an experienced Production Manager at W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. since January 2014, overseeing the design, composition, printing, binding, and shipment of trade books while coordinating production schedules across various departments. Previous roles include serving as a Peer Mentor for the Speaking, Arguing, and Writing Program, where Lauren conducted collaborative writing sessions and mentored students in communication skills. As Editor for Verbosity Literary Magazine, Lauren was responsible for reviewing submissions and creating layouts using Adobe InDesign. Additional experience includes an editorial internship at Acanthus Publishing, freelance editing for the Mount Holyoke College Department of Geography, and an internship in the promotions department at 95.5 WBRU. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mount Holyoke College and completed the Summer Publishing Institute at New York University.
