James Wallman's work experience includes serving as the CEO of World Experience Organization, where they collaborate with thought-leaders to increase the impact of experiences. James also worked as a keynote speaker at Chartwell Speakers and was an executive committee member at Experience Research Society (EXPRESSO). Prior to that, they were a sector specialist in the Experience Economy at the Department for International Trade. James Wallman has also worked as a futurist and founder of The Future Is Here, where they advised various global clients and startups. James served as an employee experience & company culture designer at Appleton Partners LLP - Architects, where they used insights from their book "Time And How To Spend It" to enhance company culture. Additionally, they have been a board advisor at Carbon13, advisor at The Transformational Travel Council, experience designer at National Portrait Gallery, and author at Penguin Random House UK, with their books "Time And How To Spend It" and "Stuffocation" receiving recognition and media coverage.
James Wallman attended Caterham School for an unknown period, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. From 1992 to 1996, they studied at the University of Oxford, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Classics (Literae Humaniores). In 2004-2005, Wallman pursued further education at the University of the Arts London, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Journalism. In 2017-2018, they attended the Cambridge Judge Business School, completing a post-graduate diploma in entrepreneurship with a focus on entrepreneurship/entrepreneurial studies.
