Marc Heissenbüttel

Marc Heissenbüttel has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Marc is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Wyden, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded an IT startup called PAN - Own your privacy in January 2020 and served as a Co-Founder until June 2022.

From 2015 to 2019, Marc worked at Zürcher Kantonalbank as the Managing Director and Chief of Staff of the Investment Banking and Asset Management Division. During the same period, they were also a Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Compliance Committee at Swisscanto Funds Centre Ltd. on a part-time basis.

Between 2013 and 2014, they held the role of Managing Director and Deputy Head of Corporate Development at Zürcher Kantonalbank. Before that, from 2010 to 2013, they served as a Director and Corporate Development Specialist in the same organization.

Prior to their time at Zürcher Kantonalbank, Marc worked as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from 2007 to 2010, specializing in ICT and Financial Services. Marc also worked at Swisscom from 2005 to 2007 as an ICT Product Manager and Product Strategist.

Marc's career began in 2001 as a Research Assistant in ICT at the University of Bern, where they worked until 2005.

Marc Heissenbüttel obtained a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Bern, with a duration of study from 1995 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a PhD in IT & Telecommunications from the same university, completing it between 2001 and 2005. Continuing their educational journey, they attended INSEAD in 2012 and 2013, where they acquired a Global Executive MBA.
