Nelson Hughes

Nelson is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. He assists companies and individuals involved in disputes in state and federal courts, and before arbitrations tribunals.

Nelson graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law with Honors. He received his B.A. in Journalism and Political Science with Distinction from UNC-Chapel Hill.

During law school, Nelson was a Notes Editor on the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology and member of the Holderness Moot Court Negotiation team. He also received a Pro Bono Publico award for the volunteer legal work he provided in the community.
