Jared Boyd

Jared Boyd is a multimedia journalist, music programmer, cultural curator, DJ, event producer, and writer, currently serving as the Program Manager at WYXR since 2020. With over three years of experience in newsgathering and feature writing, Boyd has worked with several media outlets, including The Commercial Appeal and Alabama Media Group, where they published over 1,000 articles. They began their journey in journalism at the University of Mississippi, where they produced and hosted a popular urban music mix show and wrote about hip-hop culture. Boyd has also contributed as a lead writer and co-host for Beale St. Caravan while engaging in community leadership development through programs like Bridge Builders®.
