Oleg Sannikov has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Oleg currently works as a Scientist at X-Chem, Inc. since October 2022. Previously, they worked at The University of British Columbia as a Research Assistant in the NMR facility from November 2020 to August 2022. Oleg first pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Moscow State Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics, and Automation (Technical University) from 2006 to 2009. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at the same institution from 2009 to 2011.

Following their studies in Russia, Oleg Sannikov ventured abroad to Simon Fraser University, where they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemistry from 2015 to 2019.
