Yan Yu

Yan Yu has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Yan started their career as a Research Associate at AstraZeneca, where they designed and synthesized over 1500 novel chemical entities and developed key structure-activity relationships (SARs) for various oncology projects. Yan gained extensive hands-on experience in using HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, NMR, and SFC.

Yan then joined Eisai as a Senior Principle Researcher, where they contributed to four different cancer projects by designing, synthesizing, and purifying numerous intermediates and final analogues. Yan also helped develop SARs and moved the projects forward.

Afterward, Yan worked at Cureport Inc. as a Scientist, where they contributed to several liposome projects. Yan gained experience in making and testing liposomes of different sizes, as well as various procedures such as dissolution test, endotoxin test, and drug leaking test. Yan analyzed liposomal components using HPLC analysis.

Yan then joined Cubist Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Research Associate II, where they continued their contributions in the field of research.

Yan'smost recent role is as a Senior Research Scientist at X-Chem, Inc., where they currently work.

Yan Yu holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University. Yan also pursued further education at Nanjing University, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemistry. Additionally, Yan obtained another Master of Science (MS) degree, specializing in Organic Chemistry, from Brown University.
