Stefan Ernst

Stefan Ernst is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the semiconductor and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) industry. Currently serving as Group Manager for Business & Strategy in the MEMS Division at X-FAB since September 2011, Stefan is responsible for new business development, strategy formulation, and customer portfolio management. Previous roles at X-FAB include Product Marketing Manager MEMS and Project Manager/Process Development Engineer, where Stefan focused on high-voltage CMOS and GaN-on-Si power technologies. Prior to joining X-FAB, Stefan held research positions at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, specializing in low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy. Stefan holds a doctoral degree in Physics from Technische Universität Dresden and has gained international research experience as a visiting scholar in Madrid and a teaching assistant in Dresden.
