Ali Ahmadalipour has a diverse work experience. Ali started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Portland State University in 2013 and worked there until 2017. Ali then joined The University of Alabama as a Research Scientist in 2018 and worked there until 2019. In 2019, they became the Director of Climate Science at ClimateAI, where they stayed until 2020. Ali then joined KatRisk LLC as a Principal Data Scientist and worked on flood risk forecasting until 2022. Alongside their work at KatRisk, Ali also worked as a Curator & Developer for Geospatial Jobs, a career newsletter focusing on data science and geosciences. In 2022, they joined both Google and X, the moonshot factory, as a Software Engineer.

Ali Ahmadalipour obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology between 2006 and 2010. Ali then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Science at the same university from 2010 to 2012. Later, from 2013 to 2017, Ali attended Portland State University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Hydrology and Climate Change. In addition to their formal education, Ali has completed several certifications from Udemy, including "Complete Guide to TensorFlow for Deep Learning with Python," "Complete Tensorflow 2 and Keras Deep Learning Bootcamp," "Learning Python for Data Analysis and Visualization," and "Python for Computer Vision with OpenCV and Deep Learning."
