X, the moonshot factory
Christopher Davis has diverse work experience in various engineering roles. In 2022, they worked as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer at X, the moonshot factory, where they designed and validated equipment for an early-stage moonshot project. Christopher utilized Python and Google CoLab to build a transient model for system performance and improved the tool's runtime speed.
From 2015, Davis was a Principal and Co-Founder of GenOne Technologies LLC, a small engineering solutions firm that supports small inventors in bringing their ideas to life. Additionally, they held the position of Product Engineer at Nano Terra, Inc from 2016 to 2017, where they designed and fabricated electromechanical tools and fixtures for chemists and materials scientists.
Prior to that, in 2014, Davis worked as a Research Engineer at Kibur Medical, Inc, developing and validating an in-vivo chemotherapeutic drug sensing platform. During this time, they also co-invented at CrayUP.
In earlier years, Davis gained experience as a Materials Testing Intern at MC10 and as an Energy Policy Analysis Extern at the Center of Energy, Economic, and Environmental Policy (CEEEP). Christopher also worked as a Notes Transcriber at MIT and was an Undergraduate Researcher at Robert Langer Labs, where they synthesized complex polymers and analyzed their application in developing eye drops. Additionally, Davis had an internship as a Polymer Nanocomposite Engineering Intern at Benet Laboratories, where they synthesized armor using carbon nanotubes and conducted thermal resistance testing.
From the years 2010 to 2014, Christopher Davis attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
