Nicholas Ruggero has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Computational Biologist (Staff Engineer) at X, the moonshot factory. Nicholas joined the company in 2017 and is part of an early-stage team focused on life sciences and computation. Prior to this, Nicholas worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at Stanford University from 2010 to 2017. During this time, they conducted research in various areas, including live cell imaging in innate immunity and genome-wide, mechanistic systems biology modeling. Before their time at Stanford, Nicholas worked as a Cooperative Education Student at Applied Thin Films, Inc. from 2007 to 2010.
Nicholas Ruggero earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University from 2005 to 2010. Following that, they pursued higher education at Stanford University from 2010 to 2017 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering.
