Rachel Payne

Rachel Payne is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in climate innovation and sustainability. Currently serving as Managing Director at X, the moonshot factory since January 2022, Rachel leads initiatives focusing on business innovation and climate-related moonshots. In addition, Rachel holds positions as Director on the Board of EarthGrid and EarthStudios, contributing to efforts aimed at renewable energy and sustainable entertainment. With previous roles including Portfolio Director of Climate Moonshots at X and as an entrepreneur at Nike, Rachel has also served on various boards and advisory committees. Rachel's educational background includes an MBA from Stanford University and a certification in Artificial Intelligence from MIT, complemented by degrees in Economics and Government from Smith College.
