Ryan Poplin

Ryan Poplin has a strong background in machine learning and technical leadership. Ryan is currently working as a Machine Learning Technical Lead/Manager at X, the moonshot factory since January 2021. Prior to that, they held a similar role at Google starting in March 2015. Before joining Google, Ryan worked at Broad Institute as a Group Leader for Computational Methods Development from October 2009 to March 2015. Ryan began their career at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a LiDAR Systems Engineer from June 2004 to June 2007.

Ryan Poplin earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Ryan completed their undergraduate education from 2000 to 2004. Later, Ryan pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computational Neuroscience from Carnegie Mellon University between 2007 and 2009.
