Yang Meng

Yang Meng has a strong background in research and engineering, with experience in machine learning, data science, and photonics. They are currently working as a Machine Learning and Optimization Research Scientist at X, the moonshot factory. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Scientist at Purdue University, focusing on photonics and AI research. They also have experience as an Assistant Technical Expert at Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp, a Staff Engineer at Lumentum, and a Senior Engineer at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. Yang Meng's academic background includes a Ph.D and research assistant role at the University of Maryland.

Yang Meng attended the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China from 2007 to 2011 and received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronic Science and Technology. Following their undergraduate studies, Yang Meng pursued further education at the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2017. During this time, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
