Peichao du

Peichao Du is a member of the technical staff at xAI since June 2025, focusing on post-training responsibilities. Previous experience includes serving as a senior software engineer in machine learning at Meta from December 2023 to May 2025, and as a full-time software engineer at Google from February 2022 to November 2023, where work was dedicated to YouTube Shorts recommendations. Earlier roles include a machine learning engineer internship at TikTok focused on the For You page recommendations in the summer of 2021 and another internship at 字节跳动 working on Douyin recommendations. Peichao Du holds a Master of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree with a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
