Sam Dodge

Sam Dodge is a seasoned professional in the field of electrical engineering and machine learning, currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at xAI since February 2025. Prior to this role, Sam held the position of Machine Learning Engineer at Apple from August 2019 to February 2025 and was a Senior Research Scientist at Clarifai from June 2018 to August 2019. Sam's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, both obtained from Arizona State University. Additionally, Sam contributed to academia as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, instructing various engineering courses and participating in research at the Rakuten Institute of Technology, where work on automated parsing of architecture floorplans was presented at the Machine Vision Applications conference in 2017.
