Jonathan Lavoie has a diverse work experience in the field of experimental physics and systems integration. Jonathan started their career in 2013 as a Postdoctoral Researcher at GAP-Optique, University of Geneva, where they focused on experimental quantum information, specifically the storage of quantum light in solid-state quantum memories. Jonathan worked in this role until August 2016.
Following their time at GAP-Optique, Jonathan joined the Oregon Center for Optical, Molecular and Quantum Science as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in September 2016. Jonathan held this position for two years, until September 2018.
In 2018, Jonathan joined Xanadu as an Experimental Physicist. Jonathan worked in this role for four years, until October 2022. During their time at Xanadu, they contributed to the company's research and development efforts in the field of quantum technologies.
In August 2022, Jonathan was promoted to the position of Head of Systems Integration at Xanadu. Jonathan is currently occupying this role, focusing on integrating various systems and technologies to optimize the company's quantum products and solutions.
Jonathan Lavoie obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics from the University of Waterloo, where they pursued their studies from 2007 to 2009. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Optical Quantum Information from the same institution, completing it from 2009 to 2013.
